Watch out for ... Taha n Rauhan!

The music industry of Pakistan has been set ablaze by many artist in the past and even today we get to hear so many young artists trying out their lucks in this field, however, very few of them are actually able to make a mark.
I came to hear about 'Taha n Rauhan' through a friend who insisted that I join their page. I have to say at first i wasn't very enthusiastic about it as I was too busy for the follow-ups on new bands but after listening to their songs, following them seems like a good time pass now :D.
'Taha n Rauhan' are a couple of passionate youngsters who have got a very prominent music gene and are now ready to make waves with their inborn talent. With Rauhan's fingers making no mistake on the guitar's strings and Taha's impeccable notes, they have the charm that is just about everything they need to get into the industry. Not only to survive, but to rock it.
Although the two young musicians have  experimented with the already sung, famous songs of music gurus yet , still the people with the taste and an eye for a talent have spotted them. Walnut studios, famous for hand picking the jewels of music industry, didn't let this talent go in waste too.
Particularly the fact that Rauhan belongs to my hometown, Abbottabad, has filled me with a sense of pride. Atta boy!
After getting to hear their covers, I traced the amateur artists and requested a little fill in of their journey from being simple guys to chasing the dream of being rock stars.  The story began when Rauhan was still a school boy and asked for  a guitar as his birthday present. Little did his daddy knew that this guitar is going to be the first step. Gradually Rauhan learnt the use of the strings and mastered the job in the coming years.
From high school, Rauhan went to a professional college and along with his suitcases he threw his guitar on his shoulder too, to be taken along to hostel.
Now, now.. here's the filmy twist. There Rauhan met the other part of his band. Taha.
Taha had a very groovy voice from the start. He would sing to himself  all the time and eventually gained confidence to let others get a taste of his singing. Enthusiastic with the positive response Taha started practicing more. In the car, in gatherings and in the dead of the night.. alike. Sufi kalam attracted Taha alot. The depth of the music made the feelings come out and gave eternity to the tunes.By the time Taha had taken admission in the same professional college as Rauhan, he was ready to blow people off with the strength of his vocal cords.
The two little music maniacs kicked off at once and before the black witch could cast a spell, they were performing live on stage for their university events, sending golden sparks up the sky. They posted their videos on you-tube where the public at large admired them with an open heart, encouraging them to go a step ahead.
"When walnut studios contacted us, we couldn't believe it. Not that we had doubts about ourselves but the fact that people still care about the talent and believe in giving chances, overwhelmed us." said Rauhan beaming.
Their first gig was organised in Abbottabad. Rauhan was very sweet to actually invite me personally to attend the function which i did. ( who would want to miss a chance like that?)
and their i met the voice that makes you tap your feet. Taha.
The modesty , the attitude, the talent .. everything was in the perfect balance. blended nicely with a good presentation.
I was actually happy to see 'our generation' acting so mature and not all too fake-hip just to impress an audience who are even faker. They weren't dressed up like freaks nor did they have weirdo hair-dos. (the best thing!) 'Taha n Rauhan' made that evening glow!

BTW, as smooth it sounds in my writing, the journey wasnt THAT easy. But since its my success story of the month lets not go in details of the dark road. They have come out of it clean!

Now the group is performing on stage in different events organised in cities all over Pakistan. Since now i keep taboo on them, they were in Karachi earlier this year and also in Lahore. Islamabad event managers have a new name in their performance list also. Music latte has specially been a milestone for these freshman of music industry.

Their own songs are on the way too. Looks like the new year has brought good luck for many of us.
Wishing them the cherries, we all look forward to hearing something that would soothe the relentless air of our country.
Seriously people, i think you guys need to check them out too. It wont be disappointing and like wine, m sure they are going to get better and better with each passing day.
